CAROLINE GILPIN has been a writer, editor, and teacher for 25 years. She is currently a newspaper education editor and freelance writer, as well as a writing coach. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Connecticut College and obtained a master's degree in journalism from Temple University. She currently lives in Scarsdale, New York, with her three children and their dog, Maggie.
